Christmas Tree 2017 – The Making Of !

‘Tis the season to be jolly !

It’s officially Christmas season, at least for me, and it makes me very happy so I thought it would be a great time to come back around here.

Last Saturday, we celebrated Thanksgiving with our American friends, so I thought Sunday would be perfect to make the tree !

We’ve had the same tree decorations for 3 years now and since I spent a good amount of time decorating our new apartment I wanted a tree that would fit into it perfectly. So, of course, I spent a few hours looking for tree inspiration and ended up with two ideas : Rose Gold or Copper tree. We couldn’t agree so we flipped a coin and it ended on copper !

Then I spent a few hours of my free time looking for ornament and lights since I didn’t want to have just the balls and needed it to be more festive. I found all my stuff on Alinea, which, had a surprisingly good amount of cute ornaments and had them delivered at my house (not going to mention the broken one …).

We filmed a little timelapse of us making the tree, not going to lie, there’s a lot of butts since the camera was behind us… didn’t realized until I started editing but I through it was funny enough to keep it.

So this is how it turned out, I hope you like it, let me know in the comments what your Christmas tree (or any other traditions) looks like !!

Scroll down for the inspiration tree and some close ups ! You’ll notice it’s not as « full » as the one I chose to get the inspiration from but damn… those thing are expensive ! Next year maybe !

Have yourselves a merry little Christmas !

  1. Haha! Nice butts!! Your cute little tree turned out so cute!! We have a tradition of getting a new ornament each year of tinker bell as that is what my mother in law calls my daughter. It’s cute and each year the ornament comes in a new pose and outfit:)

    1. ooh I love tinker bell ! I wanted to go to Disneyland they have an ornaments boutique there, maybe I’ll go before Christmas, she’s the cutest ! I’d love to see these

  2. That’s a cute but a bit tiny for me tree. He he he. I’m used to bigger ones here. But I love all the ornaments and the video you made is so cute. Love it girl.

    1. haha me too, with my parents I use to have huge trees but my apartments not made for those, but I love them better too 🙂 thank you 🙂

  3. That is a beautiful little tree. I’m glad for the closeups because at first I thought those doves were chickens! No offense, I love chickens.

  4. This is really cute! I work in retail and so we have some pretty elaborate Christmas decorations, like motorised Santas and reindeer, but I think simple can be more elegant. I don’t particularly enjoy Christmas but something about the decorations and lights gives me warm fuzzy feelings. Those little doves are particularly adorable.

  5. Loving the tv fireplace lol. Cute colours and that tree would be perfect size for my apartment. May be stealing your idea this year!
